HoopDance is a fun new way to do low-impact cardio!

What do First Lady Michelle Obama, Beyonce Knowles, Zooey Deschanel and Marisa Tomei all have in common? They all hoop to stay in shape. Hoop?!? Hooping might have you thinking back to your childhood when you first spun a toy store hula-hoop around your middle. However, this type of hooping does not involve the original Wham-O trademarked hula-hoop. Hooping or HoopDance requires an adult size hoop of about 42 inches in diameter that weighs about 1.5 pounds. The larger size and weight provides the necessary momentum needed for an adult to waist hoop with ease. No fancy moves are required to reap the physical benefits, but, once basic waist hooping is learned, you will probably want to let the hoop begin its journey all over your body.

Hoop on your hips, your thighs, your chest! Hoop off the body by twirling your hoop overhead or under you legs! Not only fun, HoopDance is serious cardio exercise. Burn up to 150 to 300 calories during a 30 minute workout. Hooping is also extremely meditative, allowing you to quickly forget the pressures of the day and to just be in the moment.
